Canada Post has released its Year of the Rat stamp, celebrating the Chinese lunar calendar.
(Canada Post) According to the lunar calendar, which begins on Feb. 7 and ends Jan. 25, rats are said to be charming gossips who mind their budgets closely. They are also typically ambitious and highly successful. Rat people were born in 1912, 1924, 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996, or 2008.
Canada Post, which first issued its Chinese New Year stamp in 1997 with the Year of the Ox, has printed eight million single stamps, 750,000 souvenir sheets and 15,000 uncut press sheets. |
