Having problems with your Internet connection? Restart your modem.
To restart your modem, turn it off for 30 seconds, then turn it back on.
If you have a home networking router that connects your computers to each other, turn it off after your modem powers down. Wait until your modem has restarted before turning your router back on.
Even if you’re not having any problems with your Internet connection, you should still follow the steps above. Restart your modem (and your router, if you have one) at least once a month (for maintenance purposes).
Resetting your modem to factory settings.
The Reset to Factory Defaults option should be used when you find it necessary to recover the factory default settings. This may be necessary when a custom configuration did not go as planned, when a new configuration is desired, or when the wireless home networking modem does not appear to be working properly.
Important: This option resets all personalized settings on your modem.
To use the Reset option:
Open your Web browser.
Type http://192.168.2.1 in the address bar, then press the Enter key.
Click on the Basic Setup tab.
Select “How do I restart my home networking modem or it back to the original factory settings?”. This option takes you to the System Reboot screen.
Check the Reset to Factory Defaults box.
Click Reboot.
The system responds with a warning screen that prompts you to confirm the Reset to Factory Defaults selection.
Click the Reset to Factory Defaults button to confirm, or click Cancel to return to the System Reboot screen.
A status screen begins a 45 second countdown to reset the modem.
Download the Efficient Networks Speedstream 6520 manual
Download Efficient5200_4.2.2.122.exe (the driver for this modem)
